Munson

Patented September 17, 1889

Manufactured by the Munson Typewriter Company of Chicago, this typewriter was the predecessor of the popular Chicago typewriter. The Munson was open framed with most of its mechanical parts attractively nickle plated. Printing was from a horizontal type sleeve, struck from the rear by a rubber hammer.
