Wellington

1892
The Wellington was invented by Wellington Parker Kidder and was patented
in 1892, although it may not have been until 1895 that the machine appeared on
the market. The Wellington uses thrust action type, has a three bank keyboard
with two shift keys and inking was accomplished by ribbon. The Wellington also
appeared under the name Wannamaker, Davis, as well as Empire in Canada and Adler
in Germany.
