Williams Typewriter

1890

A most unusual looking typewriter, the Williams used typebars that performed a grasshopper like movement before striking the paper. The example shown is the first model, with a gracefully curved keyboard and decorations on its side frame. It was quickly replaced, in its first year of production, by an undecorated, straight keyboard version.
